Position Summary
Talent Depot is hiring on behalf of a well-established civil engineering firm seeking an experienced Licensed Professional Land Surveyor / Project Manager. This role will lead teams executing transportation-related boundary, topographic, and SUE surveys for state and municipal projects. You’ll oversee multiple crews, ensure quality and compliance, manage client relationships, and help drive business development in the surveying practice.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage two or more field crews

Perform calculations, assemble field data, and prepare plats and legal descriptions

Ensure QA/QC, track budgets and schedules, and handle project invoicing

Represent the company at project and industry meetings as the client liaison

Mentor junior survey staff, set goals, and conduct performance reviews

Support proposal preparation and growth strategy within the surveying discipline
Must-Have Qualifications
-
Active PLS license in any U.S. state or ability to obtain one in the work state within 6 months (support for licensure and exam fees provided)

At least 8 years of progressive land surveying experience, particularly on DOT or transportation projects

Strong command of MicroStation / OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D

Familiarity with federal, state, and local surveying regulations

Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a 7-year background check

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (or TN visa eligible)
